BMW plans to produce engines in U.S.

BMW may proceed for the first time, with the construction of engines in the U.S., in order to expand the production of vehicles in the region.

The decision may be taken next year tells Bloomberg quoting sources close to the process. The German manufacturer only produces engines outside Europe in China, in Shenyang, for supplying their local factories.

In the USA, BMW has, since 1994, a plant in Spartanburgo,  South Carolina, where produces the Bmw X3, X4, X5 and X6 from 2014.
